Sean Rothermel was born and raised in central Ohio. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace University. Sean was a history major with minors in education AYA and political science and received his teaching license upon graduation.
Sean has nine years of teaching experience as a social studies teacher. Most of this experience was at Temple Grandin School (TGS) located in Boulder, Colorado. TGS is a school aimed at educating students grades 6-12 with a high functioning autism diagnosis or a similar learning profile. In addition to teaching, Sean has worked with youth on the autism spectrum as a respite care provider and has over seven years of experience coaching boys high school basketball. While Sean possesses a passion for teaching and coaching, his true passion lies in working closely with youth and build meaningful long-term relationships with each student. He is excited to work as a long-term youth mentor and is dedicated to collaborating with youth to navigate the challenging obstacles they face in their lives.
In his free time, Sean enjoys taking long road trips, exploring national parks, photography, cooking, golfing and watching sports.
