Ryann Furrer
Development Director
Ryann joined Friends of the Children – SW Washington as the first full-time Development Director, bringing over 20 years of experience in education and a passion for building meaningful relationships. After spending many years working in education, she saw firsthand the power of one caring adult and the lasting impact they can have on a child's life. That experience drew her to Friends of the Children, where she is excited to support the life-changing work of professional mentorship throughout Southwest Washington.
Ryann was inspired to pursue a career in development because she thrives on connecting with people and building relationships. She is passionate about helping others invest in causes that create real, tangible change and believes deeply in the impact of Friends of the Children's model. For Ryann, fundraising is about more than raising dollars—it's about changing lives and strengthening communities.
Outside of work, Ryann enjoys curling up with a great book, hitting the golf course, and spending time in the mountains!
